When selecting baby furniture, it is important to find out if the products have been tested and are certified. The trend these days is to go with what is known as a “non-drop side crib”. These cribs are bolted all around which makes them more rigid and stable than a traditional drop side crib. The only drawback is that without a drop side, when you lower the mattress height, it is more difficult to take the baby out of the crib.

Below is a newer style of cribs known as crib and changer. This type of crib has drawers and a changing table built in. The model below is the Sorelle Tuscany.

Nursery Collections:
A basic nursery set consists of a crib, dresser, and changing table. These days, many customers are using the combo unit as a dresser and a changing station so that they do not have to purchase an additional changing table. Changing tables are still popular because they are easy to maneuver and can be used in different rooms besides the nursery, such as a living room or the master bedroom. Another popular item for the nursery is a glider rocker and ottoman. Unfortunately we no longer carry the glider or ottoman but these items are great when you are feeding the baby. Every mom should have one. Although we no longer carry the glider and ottoman, we highly recommend Dutailier gliders and ottomans. In our opinion, they are one of the best even though they may not be the least expensive.
